Welcome
Built In 1843 and opened as a hotel in 1946, this Grade II listed building sits on the cliffs of Scarborough’s stunning North Bay with panoramic views of the bay and castle. The majority of rooms have a sea view, from which you may even glimpse a dolphin, porpoise or whale and we have our own private car park.
We offer a hearty breakfast, using locally-sourced produce, and are hands on to advise you of local amenities and events. You can also enjoy a drink from our honesty bar, play one of the many games available in our comfortable guest lounge or just sit and take in the amazing view.
The location could not be better, being within easy walking distance to Scarborough Castle (13 minutes), Peasholm Park (10 minutes), Scarborough Station (15 minutes) and South Bay Beach (15 minutes). Four great restaurants are within a 10 minute walk and there is a pub across the road. We are also almost opposite the cricket ground and the Open Air Theatre is a short walk away.
We hope to welcome you in the near future; the kettle’s on!
