Welcome to the Hotel Ellenby, sat on the cliffs of Scarborough’s stunning North Bay with panoramic views across the bay and of the castle.

Built In 1843, this Grade II listed building dates back to just before the railway arrived in the town and maintains a traditional feel.

The majority of rooms have a sea view, from which you may even glimpse a dolphin, porpoise or whale and we have our own private car park.

Myself and my wife managed a rare weekend away without the children and found the Ellenby online. Upon arrival we were impressed with the look of the hotel. Nice dining room and lounge area which was fresh looking and clean. Our room was lovely and had a sea view. Breakfast was very nice and plenty of food to fill us up for the morning. We would highly recommend this place to anyone.

Rooms were spotless, and nothing too much trouble. Perfect hosts. Breakfast was best ever. All produce was locally sourced and delicious. We will definitely be returning. For us it is the best small hotel in Scarborough.

The owners are such kind people, the food was delicious and they genuinely care about their property and customers and you can tell by the quality of service. I am so grateful for how welcome you made us feel. The location is also great, The Ellenby is near to the train station and is opposite the beach. It’s also by the shopping Center and the Open Air Theatre.
